The FTDX3000 by Yaesu is a highly sought-after HF/6m transceiver, renowned for its exceptional performance and advanced features. This particular unit, while maintaining its pristine near-mint condition, appears to have an issue with its display. The display, a key component of the transceiver, is not functioning properly, failing to transmit or receive relevant information.
Despite this display issue, the FTDX3000 retains its impressive capabilities. It boasts a dual receiver design, allowing you to monitor two frequency bands simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful in competitive or crowded frequency environments. The transceiver also supports various modes, including SSB, CW, AM, FM, and digital modes, ensuring versatility in your communication needs.

It also boasts a high-resolution color LCD display, when functioning, providing clear and easy-to-read information. The transceiver is equipped with an advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that enhances reception quality and reduces noise.
The FTDX3000 also features a high-performance RF direct sampling system, which allows for superior receive performance and provides excellent filtering and noise reduction. The transceiver is also equipped with a built-in automatic antenna tuner, ensuring optimal performance with various antennas.
In conclusion, while this FTDX3000 unit has a display issue, it still offers a wealth of advanced features and exceptional performance for an HF/6m transceiver. It is an excellent opportunity for a technician or hobbyist to fix and upgrade, or for those looking for a high-performance transceiver at a lower price due to the display issue.

As for the HF-6M XCVR with a near-mint display but no transmit function, it is essentially a receiver only. Here are its pros and cons: Pros of HF-6M XCVR:1. Cheaper Price: Since it is a receiver only, it is typically cheaper than a full-function transceiver like the FTDX3000.
2. Excellent Receiver Performance: Like the FTDX3000, the HF-6M XCVR has excellent receiver performance, making it a great choice for listening to amateur radio signals.
Cons of HF-6M XCVR:1. No Transmit Function: The most significant disadvantage of the HF-6M XCVR is that it cannot transmit signals. This means that it cannot be used for two-way communication.
2. Limited Features: Since it is a receiver only, it has fewer features than a full-function transceiver.
Conclusion and Recommendation:If you are looking for a high-performance HF/50 MHz transceiver with advanced features and excellent receiver performance, the FTDX3000 is a great choice. However, its high price and complexity may be a disadvantage for some users. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative with excellent receiver performance, the HF-6M XCVR is a good choice, but keep in mind that it cannot transmit signals and has fewer features than a full-function transceiver. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your budget, needs, and preferences as an amateur radio operator.
Thanks and 73 shipping is see photos my friend traded it to me after he played with for a year or so then sat on shelf in its box. TN for your interest on this item.
Sale includes the transceiver triple-boxed with original boxes and packing material, unused Yaesu hand mike in its box, full length dc power cable, operations manual large schematics FHA-2 remote control pod. The frequency display mode screen above tuning knob works just fine.
Yaesu FTDX3000 hf 6m xcvr looks nearmint, display doesn't work, transmit receives just fine. I don't think its an operator error. To my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with this radio other than the screen never shows anything Yaesu.
E-mail for any questions. This is a like new transceiver that needs TLC or you can just use it as-is. It is near perfect because has seen hardly any use. So, the radio is very usable and even more so if you use ham deluxe to it as an Sadr.
I got this radio in a trade from friend thinking that would just use it with Hurd as an Sadr - then decided i'd stick my k3 like knobs: cosmetically is almost when we tried again before bought it, the issue appeared screen never says anything other than Yaesu. The receiver is sensitive and hears very well. The radio shows full output on all bands.
