The leds that illuminate the face and ring of the lb 1 base may be set to continuously glow, illuminate only while transmitting, or turned off with the three position switch located on the right side of the base. Unless you already have one a cc 1 XLR series cable is needed to interface this microphone with a transceiver.

This package contains Heil compact pr10 microphone, an lb 1 table base with an led backbit transmit status light, and an adjustable 8 mic boom to bring the mic up to a comfortable operating position during use. The pr10 package includes a lb 1 table base.
Lb 1 requires 2 AA batteries for illumination. I ended up with two of them and have decided to part with one of these excellent microphone systems.
