I know, I created this to solve my problem. You also get a female to female jack adapter so you can simply unplug your Microphone from the radio and plug it into this jack, then plug the extension cable back into your radio. Any 6 pin rj 12 or rj 11 Microphone cable can be extended using this cable including and others yaesu ft 7800r ft 7800e ft 7800 ft 8800r ft 8800e ft 8800 ft 8900r ft 8900e ft 8900 ft 2800m ft 1802m ft 1900r ft 1900e ft 1900 ft 2900r ft 2900e ft 2900 ftm 350r ftm 400dr mobile radio etc. I use this on my yaesu ftm 350 in my truck and another one on my yaesu ft 8800r at the base station.

Need a different length see my other listings. Rj 11 uses a 6 pin plug same as rj 12 but only the 4 pins are used. Ft you can use this with rj 11 systems as well. What I have done and what I see others do is to double sided tape, glue or otherwise mount this adapter anywhere you want to plug your Microphone into.

Ft and any model that used 6 pin rj 12 or rj 11 connector wired straight through need a shorter length no problem as I make up each of these and can make one shorter for you. Can also be used for control head extension on model's ft 88 ft it is wired as straight through, meaning pin1 goes to pin 1, pin 2 goes to pin 2, etc. That would then make a solid location to have your Microphone plugged into.

Mount or not as you see fit.

I did not make listings for all the possible lengths of cable because each person may want something different. Microphone extension cable for any radio that uses the 6 pin modular rj 12 plug jack. It makes it so much easier to not have to put stress and strain on your Microphone cable just because of where you mounted the radio.

So, this cable works with all rj 12 or rj 11 systems. All 6 conductors are populated.
